Byte Construct were contracted to undertake the installation of automated bag drop stations and feature cladding in the Qantas domestic departures area.
The $375,000 dollar project, designed by Geyer, took place over 12 weeks. The project was located in a highly trafficked area which added its own element of complexity to the works. There was a requirement for the terminal to maintain regular operations over the 12 week period.
All work was conducted behind solid hoardings with care taken to program noisy works and deliveries to occur in off-peak periods. Additionally, Byte Construct ensured that extremely high standards of health and safety were adhered to at all times, particularly where works were conducted at height and over pedestrian paths of travel.
